Outdoor Concert Series
Throughout the summer enjoy live music in Whistler Olympic Park. Concerts are held in the afternoon or evenings throughout the summer and feature artists such as Blue Rodeo, Dal Richards and Sprit of the West. Grab a blanket and a picnic dinner and enjoy these free, family-friendly events.
Spend the day at the Lake
What better way to spend a beautiful summer day then at the lake with the kids? Pack along a picnic or use the on-site barbeque facilities for a day to remember. Some lakes in and around Whistler to explore include Alpha Lake, Nita Lake, Lost Lake, Alta Lake and Green Lake. Alpha Lake is particularly great for families as it has a sandy beach, docks, a playground, a volleyball and tennis court and BBQ facilities.
Whether you are a first time fisherman or an experienced angler why not throw in a line- who knows, you may even catch supper! Book a tour with a knowledgeable guide or toss a fishing line in at any of the lakes mentioned above. Common fish species found in Whistle include Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Char and Salmon.
Meadow Park Sports Centre & Water Park
The indoor sports centre features a swimming pool with a kid’s whirlpool, sauna and hot tub and the facility also has an outdoor waterpark and picnic area. The River of Golden Dreams runs through the park and is a stunning place to stay cool on a hot summer’s day.
Olympic Plaza Playground
Located in the heart of Whistler Village beside Olympic Park is the Olympic Plaza Playground. Enjoy a coffee or juice at one of the many cafes and restaurants and let the kids amuse themselves for hours. The playground is designed for small and big kids alike and is a great free way to enjoy an afternoon in Whistler.
Perhaps you have exhausted your adrenaline and are seeking a quieter escape for the family. Retreat to the Whistler library for a range of free activities especially suited to babies and toddlers. Some activities at the library include Words and Music, Rhyme and Song, Toddler Storey Time and Singing with Babies. All activities allow drop ins.

Summer Day Camps
Whistler Mountain offers summer day camps for kids 2.5 to 12 years old. There are a range of camps available that will keep the kids busy and entertained while mom and dad can check out the action of Whistler child-free.

Located beside the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort this 18 hole mini golf is a fun way to spend a summer afternoon in Whistler.
Never heard of disk golf before? Think golf, but with Frisbees… There are two courses to choose from both with a combination of wooded and open terrain, challenging elevations and great scenery!
